ODNR Announces America 250 Celebration Events

COLUMBUS, Ohio – As part of the America 250-Ohio Celebration, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is proud to share a full schedule of events starting in 2026 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Ohio’s public lands have a deep rich history, and this special celebration is a chance to share that with visitors in and around the Buckeye State.

“ODNR is absolutely thrilled to be hosting a variety of events across our state to celebrate

the 250th anniversary of our great nation,” said ODNR Director Mary Mertz. “We invite visitors to join us on hikes, history tours, open houses, and so much more that will immerse people in nature while celebrating America’s history.”

ODNR has several events planned to honor the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

ODNR has more than 50 events planned for the year and invites the public to join in on the fun! The current schedule of events are as follows:
